Inaugura la villa dei mosaici di Spello

10 years of research, ten stunning mosaics, one cultural heritage. Saturday 24 March will be a special day for the town of Spello. At 11 o’clock a.m., Spello's Villa of Mosaics will be inaugurated after an extensive project dedicated to its transformation into a museum. It all began by chance when, in 2005, the first splendid mosaics were brought to light. The excavations and restoration efforts have continued ever since, and numerous visitors have admired the grandeur of Spello’s Villa of Mosaics.

With over 500 square metres of mosaics recovered, Spello's Villa of Mosaics is one of the most extraordinary archaeological discoveries in Umbria.
